Genuine Manuka or Not Manuka at all?

Honey is one of the most fraudulent and adulterated foods globally and because of Manuka Honey’s  high price.  Iit is frequently targeted and mis-labelled by unscrupulous companies.  Media reports in the UK in August 2013 suggested more Manuka was sold in just the UK than was actually produced in New Zealand. In 2014, The Grocer magazine carried out tests on a random selection of jars of Manuka honey sold in the UK and found many of the samples had very little Methylglyoxal, indicating what was being sold as Manuka probably wasn’t.

We believe genuine Manuka Honey originates from and is packed only in New Zealand..

With much of the world producing low cost, low quality honey, blending some high quality NZ Manuka with low cost/quality foreign honey and still calling it Manuka Honey is a way some companies will mislead consumers.
